Sago Kheer: A heavenly sweet experience

Material:

1. Sabudana (custard pearls) – 1 cup

2. Milk – 1 liter

3. Sugar – 3/4 cup

4. Jaggery – 1/2 cup (chopped)

5. Cashews – 10-12 (chopped)

6. Almonds – 10-12 (chopped)

7. Raisins – 2 tbsp

8. Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon

9. Ghee – 2 tbsp

Method:

1. First of all, take water in a vessel and heat it. Wash sago and soak it in water for 60 minutes.

2. Heat ghee in a vessel and fry cashew nuts and almonds in it till they turn brown, then take them out.

3. Heat milk in a large vessel and add strained sago to it.

4. Let the milk boil on low intensity, keep stirring so that the sago gets cooked well.

5. When the sago is cooked and the milk thickens, add sugar and jaggery to it.

6. Similarly, add cardamom powder and one or two raisins.

7. Cook the kheer for another 5-7 minutes until the sago is completely cooked and the kheer becomes slightly thick.

8. Mix cooked cashews and almonds in it.

9. Turn off the flame and let the kheer cool down.

10. Once cooled, keep the kheer in the refrigerator to cool.

11. Before serving, garnish the cooled kheer with raisins and almonds.

Your heavenly Sabudana Kheer is ready! It can be served both cold or hot and can be given to loved ones during diets or celebrations. Its sweet taste is loved by everyone and its richness adds an extraordinary touch to any event.

Precautions:

1. Make sure to soak the sago in water before use. If the splashes don't fall off as expected, they probably won't cook well into the kheer.

2. Focus on cooking the milk on low flame to avoid curdling and to give the right consistency to the kheer.

3. Change the quantity of sugar and jaggery as per your taste for pleasantness.

4. You can do this again by adding your #1 dried natural products instead of cashews and almonds.
